Three mistakes, one at the end, unfortunately, where mistakes hurt, but otherwise a loveable, gentle, sweetly unsentimental story. . . about swimming class. Very nearly inspired me to teach a bunch of strangers how not to drown. For now I'm content not to teach them how not to drown and to let nature make its own decisions about who stays and who goes.
But seriously, very solid work. It's hard to let people be their fucked up selves without moralizing, or beautifying, or dramatizing their pain and loneliness. I've been watching so much crap lately, this movie, by contrast, immediately rocked. B+
