A profoundly beautiful film from one of Slothrop's favorite directors, Kim Ki-Duk. There is not much new to learn from it--it's the difficulty of remembering that's at stake-- but the clarity with which we see how we force suffering onto ourselves and onto others is revelatory.
As for the Ass-Head: "Children pick flowers. Let them."
Also, it just occurred to Slothrop that he didn't even notice that this film, too, has nothing but Asians. That in itself is the highest praise I can give.
