Million Dollar Baby

The hillbilly shit has got to go. And am I wrong in thinking there are a plethora of clichés in this here piñata? Nevertheless, it lingers and is not the sucky story most other directors would have turned it into. Life's a bitch and then you die.

Koko: Clint Eastwood also directed a movie about a catburgling bad father who accidentally sees the President of the United States murder his mistress. Everybody makes mistakes. Why did her trainer learn Irish? Is the family believable? Villainous , cheating Germans? Whatever. He was Blondie, and he sure told Little Bill, and he partnered with a monkey. No penance for that man.

Slothrop: But surely you'd agree, Koko, that the villainous, cheating Germans contribute to, rather than detract from the film's veracity, yes? You ever met any non-prostitute non-killer Germans? And don't say Werner Herzog because he's an Alien Reptile Terminator Predator Kindergarten Cop, not a German. Plus, Slothrop was negligent in his quote the first time around. The full verse goes like this: "Life's a bitch and then you die. That's why we get high cuz you never know when you gonna go."
