Perfume: The Story of a Murderer

Slothrop: Being an orphan in 18th century France is apparently not good for one's self-confidence; killing beautiful women to satisfy your nose is apparently not much of a solution to the problem. Maybe that's what Napoleon was for, but he's not in this movie. Still, Pretty colors throughout, which is an interesting but unsatisfying way of representing smell, and made one-legged Slothrop run to the monkey store to buy lots of scratch and sniff postcards. But yeah, we don't really pay much attention to smell, do we? From now on, Slothrop sniffs all his visitors upon greeting.

Smart Boris: Being anyone, anywhere, in 18th century anything is already a problem. Also, smell is the Star Trek of senses.
