Mark Ruffalo is a great actor. He can do no wrong. His performance here, bolstered by solid acting from Kathleen Robertson and Maya Strange, develops the film's quiet script with a truthful, wary, mature immaturity. That may be the best among its many fine qualities. Time doesn't necessarily make us wiser, even if it does soften our speech and slow our actions; it just makes us older. Ten or twenty years later, we're the same mistakes we always were. Selfish. Confused. Passionate. We're just spineless and pathetic as well.
