An Amazing Couple

The romp that is An Amazing Couple tickles with bemusement mostly because of its comedic contrast with the other two sourpusses of the trilogy; which makes me want to watch all three again, making this group of films the best I've seen of lives intertwined, perspectives lost and lugubriously found again. I wonder what Kieslowski's trilogy would have been like had he embraced the overlapping of stories as forcefully as Belvaux does? B+ to Un Couple Epatant, and a B+ to the Trilogy, even though Cavale and Apres La Vie remain individually too dour for Slothy's happy disposition. Though, hmm, had I watched them in reverse order my complaint might not stand––Oh! Perspective! You infelicitous wench.

Koko: I always thought perspective was a boy.
