Elling

Wonderful movie! Norwegians (and I should know) are better than anyone at making you feel simultaneously cheerful and disconsolate. Example: take two severly impaired social beings, place them together in a state-sponsored apartment, leave them alone, and then watch them do hilarious things like not answer the phone or go shopping. Ever. Because they can't. Hey, wait, that's not funny, just depressing. Okay, it's a little funny.

And although everything I wrote to this point implies sarcasm, the movie really is wonderful. I'm just not a very good writer. Hooray for Elling!
