This movie is a lie. Adolescence is neither funny, nor witty, nor smart, nor adventurous. One does not get laid. Having erections in AP History is not glorious. The law is not on your side. Being goofy sucks. So does not knowing anything. Why why why why do we commemorate this stage of life with wishes of how it could be? Especially deceiving is when all the miseries merely seem miserable ("McLovin") without actually being miserable. I liked it.

Koko: Good question, Slothrop, and here's another: where are all the comedies misrepresenting female adolescence? I bet they're funny too. From what I remember, girls and boys act about the same level of retarded at that age.
