The Devil Wears Prada

Here's the thing, and you should remember this whenever you read what I write, because it may expose my tasteless, uninformed judgment to the rightful censors: when I saw this movie--and yes, I chose to watch it--I thought, "Not bad. Fun little bit of fluff." Then I passed it to Seorin, who, less beguiled than I by the razzle dazzle of high fashion, corrected me, pointing out that besides being empty and formulaic in the extreme, the script is thoroughly bland. I didn't even notice. I was too impressed by the many shoes and accessories. Mea culpa, and may I add, doh!
