Woman on the Beach

Like 8 1/2 but with many more crazy asians. This is not a good thing. No, Slothy's being harsh--though there are, in fact, more crazy asians in this film than is good for a man on a quiet Saturday afternoon-- but it was quiet and slow enough that Slothy sunk into its ruminations on our false search for fulfillment in others: people come and go, accidents happen, but we're always and forever with ourselves. Learn it! And but so many asians!
The other picture google came up with to my query:

Koko: Is there a mysterious Asian genre I'm unfamiliar with? It seems like everybody's making movies about a woman _______ (insert prepositional phrase): Woman in the Dunes, Woman on the Stairs, Woman on the Beach, Woman against the Planet of the Apes. Okay, I made that last one up, but really, how many "female + locative adjunct" ideas can there be? And in the Orient, where they didn't build the railroads, Dude, are women some kind of organic objet trouvé a la Duchamp's Fountain:

No doubt, in Japan they will have little difficulty integrating one into the other. See this week's Onion for details.
