Slothrop can't move an inch up in this bitch without being poked in the eye by a chandelier, a candle stick, a fountain or a mirror. And yet with constant movement either in front of the central characters or behind them--there's so much movement and depth it's incroyable as even the trees just being trees feel like they're waltzing-- this picture show could have been about a very busy donkey on the way to a faculty meeting and Slothrop would have been charmed into caring. How fascinating the idea of a two dimensional world in a three-dimensional movie!
