Ass-Headed Bottom: Not quite as bad as I thought it would be. The first and last few minutes are simply awful, clearly last-minute rush jobs, and the whole Shakespeare scene is expendable, though Ass-Headed Bottom's cameo will provide some fine stills for movie-blogs across cyberspace. The Spenser scenes are atmospheric enough, though, and nobody will ever look at George Chapman the same way again. As for the Easter Egg, in which Ben Jonson, in a blonde wig and massive drag-spacesuit, caresses the sculpted pecs of Jude Law's winged ancestor, well, that shit's priceless and I'm glad I watched it. All in all, I give it an 87. A solid 90 in the mesh-clad portions.
