Iron Man

Slothrop: Slothrop did the right thing by getting drunk on margaritas, eating fish fajitas, and then going to see this film. Despite all sorts of gadgets and things blowing up, this movie was more about the man than the iron, which, apparently, is a revolutionary idea in the superhero genre. And of course it was ridiculous in all sorts of ways, but really, at the end, I felt I saw a movie that was fun and stupid and which I liked. In the morning I was even inspired to get this month's GQ magazine with Robert Downey Jr. on the cover and a box of Kleenex.
