Boris: Okay, well, this is no movie. I read it, and played through it on the little green board in my living room, and was sufficiently wowed to post about it. When Fischer plays king's pawn to e4 on the twentieth move, my heart stopped, my head spun, and my ample Ukranian wang stiffened, breaking through the reinforced concrete on the other side of the room. Heroic stuff, folks, with tiny wooden pieces. All the best and worst of thirty-year-old children wasting their lives, and ours, for the sake of unmemorable Icelandic bragging rights. Astonishing game, truly. A real work of art.Monday, May 26, 2008
