Slothrop: Mankind has not done well for itself. We fuck up, then we repent. Shakespeare knew this, and now so do inmates incarcerated for murder, armed robbery, pedophilia, and more murder. These are men with a lot of time to do a whole lot of pentameter. Too bad the parole board doesn't like The Tempest. Maybe Merry Wives of Windsor is more their play. What deep sadness of a prison it is that we call life.
