The Killers

Koko: Just kidding, the movie, not the mountain goat. But admit it, you like wildlife. Seriously, though, it's a good film, not as good as the Hemingway miniature that inspired it, but hey, how could it be? How, when nearly all the story's power--and it's a real whopper--comes from what we don't see, don't hear, and don't know? Thanks to Don Siegel we see, hear, and know much more than ten pages worth of plot, and the product, though still good, suffers from moderation when it should profit from privation. And do you know a big Swede named Ole Andreson? I didn't think so.
