A Single Man

Sometimes life catches our thoughts unaware, surprises us out of them, and leaves it up to us to remember how it tastes to be without them. But Berryman said it better:

And there is another thing he has in mind
like a grave Sienese face a thousand years
would fail to blur the still profiled reproach of. Ghastly,
with open eyes, he attends, blind. 
All the bells say: too late. This is not for tears; 
thinking. 

A- first viewing, probably an A on the second, when the shifting colors embody rather than point.
